Unfortunately that wasn&#39;t the case. Even though I lost no immediate family or friend in 2004 tsunami, the deep impression is still there. Considering the size of Japan and the industrial areas, death toll could have been (bluntly &amp; relatively speaking) worse.<br /><br />Their awareness, their preparedness, their coordination, the heroics of the likes of Fukushima plant workers, Miki Endo, courage of Japanese people and the good will of the world, not only saved lives, but also was exemplary.<br /><br />Thanks for the nice post and updates on Twitter. Keep it up. When I had my first quake in CA back in 2000 I was sound asleep but woke up thinking someone (nice) was sleeping next to me! Was not the case but I didn&#39;t realize till the next morning that was a minor quake.<br /><br />The more I hear the more amazing Japan is turning out to be. From the little Japanese ppl i&#39;ve met, i concur their politeness and disciplines. Its as if the worst of Japan is stuck only in their crazy and twisted manga but in real life its all good... too good :)<br /><br />Anyway keep up with blogging.
